Shake gently before use

The two phases separate naturally at rest. Give the bottle 5 to 6 gentle shakes to combine them. The formula will go from visibly separated to lightly cloudy — that's when it's active and ready to use.

Don't shake aggressively — gentle inversion is enough to combine both phases.

Saturate a cotton pad — don't pour directly

Pour directly onto a cotton pad until it's fully saturated but not dripping. Using a flat, smooth-textured cotton pad rather than a fluffy one reduces the mechanical friction on the delicate eye area and lash line.

Hold — don't rub

Place the saturated pad on the closed eye and hold for 10 to 15 seconds. Let the oil phase dissolve the mascara and the water phase hydrate the area. Then gently slide downward in one motion. The mascara should come away cleanly with almost zero pressure required. Keep the product on the pad — avoid direct contact with the eye itself.

Rubbing the eye area causes mechanical damage to lashes and accelerates fine lines. Hold, then slide. For very sensitive eyes, press and lift rather than sliding.

Repeat if wearing a full face

For a full face of makeup including SPF: apply the bi-phasic remover across the entire face, wait 15 seconds, then remove gently. Follow with the Hydra Cleansing Oil-to-Milk for a complete double cleanse — the remover lifts, the cleanser purifies.

After removal, rinse with lukewarm water or follow immediately with your cleanser. For a thorough evening routine — especially if you've worn SPF — follow with the Hydra Cleansing Oil-to-Milk as a second cleanse. The bi-phasic remover lifts; the cleanser purifies.
